Late Shri H. K. Das:-Established the automobile business in 1936 with the Dealership of General Motors, Post Independence General Motors left India and for a while Mr H. K Das took the dealership of other Brands.In 1954 T.E.L.C.O was established which is now called Tata Motors and they approached Mr Das for Dealership. For a few years due to some difference over the name both Mr Das and T.E.L.C.O kept talking to each other and finally in the year 1958 Mr. H.K Das agreed to give the name Metro Motors to T.E.L.C.O and started operations for them in 1959. Now Metro Motors enjoys over 60 years of relationship with Tata Motors.

Late. Shri. Y.P Das: Did his schooling from Lawrence School Sanawar and then joined the Merchant Navy after training on the Training Ship Dufferin. He served as an executive officer for 8 years after which he joined the family business. He was a social worker and a member of Rotary Club of Ambala for over 47 years. He had also served on the Board of Rotary International Head Quartered in Evanston , USA, during 2011 to 2013.

During his time as head of Metro Motors he turned the company into a professionally managed company with very advanced I.T systems which were much ahead of their times and also expanded from being a commercial vehicle dealer into Passenger Car Dealer also for Tata Motors.

Mr. Manav Das:- B.Com (Hons) graduate from Delhi University joined the family business in 2000. He handled the Tata Motors cars business for almost 16 years and now is handling the entire business of TATA cars and TATA Commercial vehicles having a turnover of over Rs 900 crores and a staff strength of over 500 personal. He is a keen sportsman and has done extremely well in Golf. He has been India’s # 1 merit ranked amateur golfer for three years and has represented India in several International tournaments including the Asian Games in Busan, South Korea 2002.Under him the company has expanded its operations with 20 outlets serving its customers in the districts of Ambala, Karnal,Kurukshetra, Yamuna nagar,Panipat and Kaithal.
